Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-14
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Personal Notes (the "Service"), operated by PERSONAL NOTES ("we", "us"). By authenticating to the Service or making any request to it, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Personal Notes is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets a compatible AI assistant save, list, and retrieve short text notes on your behalf, scoped to your Google account.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service.
3. Your account
Authentication is delegated to Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. We treat any action authenticated with your Google account identifier as authorized by you.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to store or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
- attempt to access notes or data belonging to other users;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except as part of a coordinated security disclosure;
- abuse the Service through automated or excessive traffic likely to degrade availability for others.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these rules have been violated.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the notes you create. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and return those notes back to you (or to your authorized AI assistant) solely as necessary to operate the Service.
6. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We
may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part,
at any time. Where reasonable, we will provide advance notice on
personal-notes.com.
7. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or content arising out of your use of the Service.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account and notes per the procedure described in our Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend access at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction of the operating entity. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply in your country of residence.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated through the Service. Continued use of the Service after such a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
